He grew up in Iowa and
attended the Iowa Writers'
Workshop, and then moved to France, where he
enrolled in the Sorbonne. He now teaches at the
University of Poitiers.
His short fiction has appeared in The New
England Review, The North American Review,
Aethlon and other magazines. His story
"Prospects of Joy" was selected for the Book of
Eros anthology.
He also writes nonfiction and reviews. Recent
work has appeared in The Antioch Review, The
Dactyl Review, The Collagist, l'Oeil du Spectateur
and New York Journal of Books..
His next novel, Back in the Game, will be
published in 2012.
